Hello , ERC Remote Organizers
We wanted to clarify a couple of points regarding the upcoming finals:
- Could you please share details about the format of the finals(e.g., structure or flow or any additional requirements)?
- Regarding the Technical and Safety Documentation, could you confirm the process for submitting the PDF before the competition (e.g., where and how it should be shared)?
This will help us ensure we prepare everything according to the competition guidelines.
Thank you for your support!
— Team Shunya
- Basically same flow as the last time, except you’ll have twice as much time. TLDR (As the full version is in the Rulebook): You’ll be given 1 hour each, you can make as many attempts as you want, provided that you won’t be sharing any data between the runs and that you declare which mode of operation (autonomous, semi, manual) you’re aiming for in each of the attempts. After your Time Slot is over you’ll have couple of minutes to pick/make a report from all of the attempts and send us to the erc@husarion.com, with a CC to teams@roverchallenge.eu
- Same as all other documents -
erc@husarion.com, with a CC to teams@roverchallenge.eu
. You can also have a short demo of safety features ready, but please make them “high signal, low noise” as they can be made during your Time Slots.
The general gist is the same as usual - in general for this whole Competition, not only the Finals, your task is to convince us that (maybe not exactly that order for the latter points but you get the idea):
0) you’re fair/“good sports” to other Competitors
- “you’ve done your homework” (meaning you’ve actually prepared things)
- your solutions as good as they could
- you’ve thought about safety
- you’ve thouthgt your own Team (i.e. operator panels are pleasant to use)
- you have a solid strategy (including contingency plans and so on)
The exact ways of doing so are specified in the Rulebook, point limits are there too but if you’re for any reason unable to fulfill them - don’t hesitate to simply talk to Judges and try an alternative solution. Remember - we can only score what we see - if you don’t provide us with any information - we won’t be able to give you any points. If you happen to provide data in a slightly different way - you’ll most likely get points either way (probably a little less than if it were done “properly”, but hey - it’s still more than zero
).
Thank you for your Quick and detailed response.
I would like to ask if there will be any presentations scheduled during the finals.
