Connectivity Issue with Assigned VM – Request for Assistance

Hi ERC Team,

We’re unable to reach our assigned VM via ping6 or SSH, even though it shows as active and tunnelled in husarnet status.

Could you please check if the VM is reachable from your side, or if it might be in standby or suspended?

Thanks in advance,
TerraBots

Hello Patrick,

I just checked and can confirm that your VM is reachable, SSH via Husarnet works just fine from our ops machine.

BR,
Szymon

Hi Szymon,

Thanks for checking. On our side (patrick node), we can see team-xx-xxxx in the peer list, but it appears as:

fc94:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX inactive, tunnelled
Hostnames: team-xx-xxxx

We’ve confirmed that our Husarnet daemon is running, healthy, and up to date (nightly version). We’ve also restarted the service and rejoined the network, but:

ping6 team-xx-xxxx

and

ssh user@team-xx-xxxx

still time out.

It looks like the issue might be on the VM side — maybe Husarnet is not running properly there, or the device is currently offline. Could you please check if Husarnet is active and healthy on that machine?

Best regards,
TerraBots Team

Husarnet on the VM seems to be running fine, as I can SSH into it using Husarnet address. Can you communicate with other Husarnet nodes, for example your teammates’ laptops?

Hi,

Yes, we’ve tested communication between multiple Husarnet connected devices (including our teammates’ laptops in different networks), and we’re able to ping each other successfully under both the stable and nightly versions of Husarnet.

We also tried from different networks using both the stable and nightly versions of Husarnet, but the issue with the VM persists exactly the same in all cases.

Thanks again for checking.
