Hi!
We noticed that our team, TerraBots, was assigned a UTC offset of -6:00 in the Connectivity Test timetable.
However, Peru is actually in UTC-5 all year round (we don’t observe daylight saving time).
Could you please confirm whether our local time should be 10:15 a.m. instead of 11:15 a.m.?
Thanks for the clarification!
Best regards,
TerraBots Team
The offset table was meant to be “offset from CET” and not “offset from UTC”. CET is +1 right now so I believe the time from the table still stands.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
There was in fact an issue with timezone conversion (we assumed CET, not summer time, as this was the time while writing the Rulebook while now it’s CEST - which differs one hour).
We’ve tried to mitigate this by:
- keeping local time for remote teams as similar as possible (so, i.e. in case of TerraBots it will be 11:15)
- moving Teams that are in CEST one hour further (as they were 1:1 to our local time and effectively we’ve moved our times 1 hour later)
- there was also an issue in Egypt time calculation - which we’ve fixed, what moved the time one hour later too
