Hello,
as some of you have already noticed, there are some issues with the FastDDS setup and ROS versions compatibility. As those are fundamental to the whole competition and we want to make the whole competition a fair game - we decided to limit the Connectivity Test to the Husarnet and Foxglove points. As they sum up to 10 (not 20) we will be multiplying them by two, and limiting the maximum score to 20 points (as there are some extra points that would have otherwise overflown the limit). We may organize a separate Test Drive for ROS-only setups in the future, but no guarantees can be made at this point.
All ROS-related issues will be addressed in the next weeks - as we test your setups and proposals ourselves. Teams that have raised any concerns about the ROS setup will be awarded points for the Social Excellence category as we go through the exact issues.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that this will not affect your preparations too much.
As per the exact steps for today, from your point of view:
- create a Husarnet account
- create a network/group named like your Team Name
- add all the devices you need to said group
- in this Test Drive it’ll most likely be only your laptop/PC
- share this group to erc@husarion.com
- join Zoom meeting - Launch Meeting - Zoom
- access code: 16216
- let us know on chat that you’re available for the Test Drive 5 minutes before your assigned time slot
erc2025/phase_2/announcement.md at main · husarion/erc2025 · GitHub - at the beginning of your time slot (provided there are no delays), a Jury member will call you up and begin the Test
- ideally you should be able to voice communicate with the Jury, but please use the chat if there are any issues
- please state your Team Name to confirm the readiness
- tell the Jury how will you be providing proofs of completion of the subtasks
- either by sharing your screen live
- or by sending screenshots in the chat/via erc@husarion.com
- the Jury will now guide you through the Test Drive, asking you to perform the subtasks

- steering the robot around may require asking the Jury to disable the emergency stop switch
